Richard H. Tucker

Richard H. Tucker founded Tucker Development in March 1996. The firm focuses on the investment, development, and redevelopment of mixed-use properties and shopping centers, drawing on Mr. Tucker's more than 40 years of experience in the development, redevelopment, financing, leasing, and management of real estate assets.

Across his career, Mr. Tucker has developed or acquired over ten million square feet valued in excess of $1.5 billion. Applying his expertise in land entitlements and public-private partnerships, he has transformed multiple properties, creating long-term value for investors and for the communities the firm serves.

Tucker's current projects are primarily mixed-use redevelopments and ground-up developments spanning retail and residential in high barrier-to-entry urban and established suburban markets. These include luxury rental apartments and several build-to-rent townhome developments in process.

Mr. Tucker is a leader in influential industry associations. His roles include past Co-Chair of the ICSC National Open Air Committee, past Director of the ICSC Illinois State Committee, and past Chairman of the ICSC Illinois Governmental Affairs Committee. He is an active member of both the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute, serving on the Commercial and Retail Council, and is a frequent panelist at national real estate conferences and educational forums.
